St Kieran’s Primary School – Moe

Principal Mr Peter McKenna

Established in 1950 by the Presentation Sisters, St Kieran’s Primary School was founded to serve families who had migrated to the area to support the development of the Yallourn power stations.

From its earliest days, the school was shaped by a strong sprit of welcome, resilience and shared endeavour, as families worked together to build both a school and thriving parish community.

While the Presentation Sisters concluded their leadership in 1994, St Kieran’s continues to be guided by a strong Presentation ethos, with pastoral care and faith at the heart of school life.

St Kieran’s is a vibrant learning community that offers a rich and engaging curriculum that encourages students to become confident, independent learners.

Strong partnerships between staff, families and the wider community enrich all aspects of school life at St Kieran’s. This sense of belonging is reflected in the school’s logo, symbolising children learning and growing with faith at the centre.
