Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited (DOSCEL) is seeking a passionate and experienced educator to join the organisation as Inclusive Education (Learning Adjustment) Officer.
Working closely with the Chief Learning and Teaching Officer through the Team Coordinator: Learning Adjustment, this important role supports Catholic schools across the Diocese of Sale to strengthen learning and wellbeing outcomes for students with disabilities through inclusive and evidence-based educational practices.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside school leaders to build capability, promote inclusion, and ensure all students are supported to access and engage meaningfully in learning.
About the Role
The Inclusive Education (Learning Adjustment) Officer will:
- Support school leaders to develop inclusive school cultures and learning environments where all students can thrive.
- Build leadership capability in identifying student need and implementing effective interventions using a Response to Intervention framework.
- Support schools to plan and implement universal, targeted and intensive adjustments and interventions for students with diverse learning needs.
- Assist schools in ensuring equitable access to curriculum, enrolment, participation, and student support services.
- Promote student voice and agency in learning and wellbeing planning.
- Provide expert advice and support to schools in meeting regulatory and Victorian Catholic Education Authority (VCEA) obligations, including the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of professional learning in inclusive education across the Diocese.
- Work collaboratively with Learning Adjustment, Learning and Teaching, and Whole School Approach to Positive Behaviour Support teams to provide coordinated support to schools.
- Deliver intensive support to school leadership teams in response to complex student needs.
- Provide services to schools consistent with the DOSCEL Expert Teacher Framework.
- Prepare timely reports and contribute to system-wide improvement initiatives.
About You
You are a collaborative and highly capable education professional with a commitment to inclusive education and improving outcomes for students with disabilities. You are able to build strong relationships, influence practice, and support school leaders to implement evidence-based approaches that make a meaningful difference.
You will demonstrate:
- Experience supporting inclusive education practices and learning adjustments within school settings.
- Strong knowledge of current legislation, policies, and frameworks relating to students with disabilities, including NCCD requirements.
- A demonstrated ability to build the capability of school leaders and teachers through coaching, mentoring, and professional learning.
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience analysing student needs and supporting schools to implement effective interventions and adjustments.
- The ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and evidence-based educational practice.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education and current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
Experience within Catholic education and postgraduate qualifications relevant to inclusive education, learning diversity, or educational leadership will be highly regarded.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to support school leaders to strengthen inclusive education practices, improve student outcomes, and build capability across Catholic schools throughout the Diocese of Sale.
Working closely with the Chief Learning and Teaching Officer through the Team Coordinator: Learning Adjustment, the successful applicant will support schools to create inclusive learning environments, implement effective learning adjustments, strengthen behaviour support practices, and ensure all students can access high-quality learning opportunities.

About the Role
As the Inclusive Education (Learning Adjustment Behaviour/Academic) Officer, you will:
- Build the capacity of school leaders to create inclusive school environments and cultures.
- Support schools to implement DOSCEL’s Whole School Approach to Positive Behaviour Support (WSAPBS).
- Support implementation of the Victorian Curriculum F-10 Version 2.0 and strengthen student learning entitlement.
- Use evidence and data to inform leader and teacher practice.
- Work collaboratively with DOSCEL Office personnel and schools to support strategic and annual improvement priorities.
- Provide expert advice, coaching, mentoring and professional learning to school leaders and teachers.
- Support schools to provide appropriate learning adjustments for students.
- Deliver services consistent with the DOSCEL Expert Teacher Framework.
- Prepare reports and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Diocese.
About You
You will bring:
- Experience in inclusive education, learning adjustment and supporting diverse student learning needs.
- Knowledge and experience in implementing evidence-based behaviour support practices.
- The ability to build the capability of school leaders and teachers through coaching, mentoring and professional learning.
- Experience using evidence-based approaches to improve student outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
