CHILD SAFETY

Information Sharing Scheme

The Victorian Government introduced reforms through legislation that aim to remove barriers to information sharing and enable services and organisations to work together more effectively to support the wellbeing and safety of children and reduce family violence.

INFORMATION SHARING SCHEMES

Information Sharing Entities (ISE)

DOSCEL Office and schools are prescribed as Information Sharing Entities (ISE) under the Child Information Sharing Scheme and the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (Schemes).

The Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) Framework ensures services are effectively identifying, assessing and managing family violence risk. The aim of MARAM is to increase the safety and wellbeing of Victorians. It will do this by ensuring relevant services can effectively identify, assess and manage family violence risk.

The Framework is established under Part 11 of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008 and supports lawful information sharing through the Schemes, enabling coordinated action.
