Second group of Education Support Officers on their way to becoming teachers!

Accelerated Bachelor of Education program 2026 year starts
This week 53 Education Support Officers from Catholic schools from across our diocese started their first intensive study week of 2026 on their journey to become qualified teachers.
Two groups are diving deep into study. Last year’s intake is now in its second year of study and a second intake is commencing first year.

Sponsored Study Initiative
The three-year Accelerated Bachelor of Education program is a DOSCEL sponsored study initiative in partnership with Swinburne University of Technology.
The program aims to address the pressing issue of teacher shortages by tailoring a teacher education program specifically for current Education Support staff working within the Diocese.
